I hope these guys get caught and put away for ever!

Durham Region police are looking for as many as five men after a mother and her two children were blindfolded and bound while the suspects robbed their home.
Early yesterday morning, the suspects forced their way inside the house and encountered the woman's 8-year-old son. The boy, his mother and her 14-month-old baby were then forced to kneel in a corner of the basement with their hands tied and faces covered.
Police say the woman was threatened with death by two men, one possibly armed with a handgun, while the other suspects searched the home.
The robbers left with the mother's wedding band, credit cards, jewelry and a home computer.
The suspects are described as male, black and between 20 and 30 years of age.

OMG OMG!! Really? You're afraid, someone's gonna break in and rob you? This is the downside for a large population... some **** is more likely to happen here than somewhere with a much smaller population; say Kitchiner.

Based on that quote I don't think you would survive in Toronto anyway... you need a little intelligence here to get by.
First of all, Toronto is one of the safest cities in NA. And second of all, that crime didn't even take place in Toronto.

I'd reckon that this kind of activity would be more common in smaller places because the folk there are so scared and timid - easier to tie up.
Americans rob and tie up people then shoot 'em like on a daily basis. FYI.

Toronto?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That happened in Durham - i.e. where the population isn't dense and you could light firecrackers in your living room without the neighbours hearing. Try doing that in Toronto.
Come to think of it, you could probably do that in Kitchener too

Brave men to have to tie up a woman and 2 children.
Is Thestar biased against blacks or do they just commit all the crime in Toronto?

wtf? Its a messed up crime, but how the hell is ONE crime that DID NOT happen in Toronto make Toronto a dangerous city despite actual evidence clearly stating that it isn't?
Durham is 173 KM from the base of Yonge Street in Toronto; Kitchener (where the OP is from) is 106KM away. So I'm a bit confused here...

Firstly, giving the race of the culprits narrows down their search a whole lot more.
Secondly, journalists try to appeal to as many readers as they can. e.g. During the whole Katrina accident, one newspaper printed "Black man looting" while another showed a white cop 'gathering' supplies. I saw both of these on the internet so I don't know how true they are but the general idea should be clear.

Durham region especial Oshawa/Bowmanville are filled with people and crimes like this. Durham makes Jane Finch look like joke atleast to me. I grew up in these areas and hate them with passion just for these reasons and incase you didn't know Durham is home to huge chapter of the Hells Angels.

It's Durham region for $hit sakes..not Toronto. Toronto sucks, there's no doubt and these guys are probably from Toronto to come from the toilet seat of either Scarborough, Etobicoke central, or Jane and Finch. Why take a chance in causing a crime in Toronto where you have a greater chance of being seen? Just travel a little North and rape, pillage good communities that still believe in a true community.
Toronto sucks.

Durham is part of the GTA though. Greater Toronto Area. Bowmanville being a part of Durham some might debate. But in most ways its considered part of Durham.
With that said, I highly doubt the 5 men who committed this crime live in Bowmanville. 5 Black Men who hang out together and live in Bowmanville wouldn't be that hard to find.

That's actually true but they were black, not white, fat, tattooed chicken heads that pack like cows with leather jackets and ugly bikes.

The Golden Horseshoe can be considered as the GTA as well, which includes Kitchener. OP, you better get out of there! It's not safe! OMG!!

Durham DEFINITELY isn't Toronto, however it's a lot closer than 173 km. I can get from pickering/scarborough border (technically TORONTO), to the base of Yonge in 25 minutes (no traffic).

Cmon now, Pickering is like one of the safest (and most boring) cities in Durham. P-Town rocks the party.
