Rock Band Special Edition $99.99 @WalMart YMMV

I'm not sure if it's all around the city but I just got back from WalMart in Pickering and they had Rock Band Special Edition for $99.99. It might not be the cheapest around but FS and BB still have it on for $139.99 so it's an opportunity to PM at the least.

There was a recent post (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=673811) on RB1 for the Wii going for $99.99 at Amazon, EB Games and BB. I saw it on TRU's website for that price as well earlier this week.

I got a copy in-store a couple days ago at BB for that price, although it's now showing OOS on their website (and the price is $109.99). In any case, good to know it's available at another retailer.

Yeah I remember reading about that. At least with this if you can get a PM it's cheaper than what we've seen and there's no shipping charges.

FWIW they had versions for all consoles in stock, as did FS in Ajax.

At the walmart in Windsor, the RB2 for Xbox 360 and PS3 were $99.99, while the Wii one was $89.99

Saw Rock Band at London Drugs in Vancouver (reconditioned), which I guess means no warranty for $79. Not too bad if you don't mind buying without a warranty.

Did you have them scan the box or just look at where the boxes are piled?

At our walmart they had the 3 selections (wii, ps2, ps3) under the Special Purchase $99.99 sign. They had a few ps3, few ps2 and few wii, so it wasn't like someone dropped off the PS3 in that pile, and left.

Ok guys, I know that you guys are saying that it is $99 because they "grouped" all them in the same batch. But the one in windsor clearly has a sticker that states 139.99 on xbox360 and ps3 ones. ALSO I took the entire box and had it scanned and it showed up as 139.99 for ps3 edition.

This post is not incorrect. So far you seem to be the only one who was unable to get one for $99. Other posters in this thread have confirmed it. You should have asked for a manager and confirmed the price. Just because the sticker says one thing and it scans as one thing doesn't mean that is the final price. You never know until you ask.

SeL, actually no body stated what version they bought.. they could be all ps2/wii editions as far as I know. Why would I bother asking for a manager to check the price when the sticker states 139.99 and the scan itself shows 139.99. We all know that a lot of places has been dropping the PS2/Wii RB1 prices to $99.99 as well.

Why wouldn't you ask? Wouldn't it be in your best interest to ask, being a consumer and all? Last time I checked incorrectly scanned prices are not something new to the retail world and while it doesn't happen all the time, it still does happen.

User "fenk" confirmed it in Edmonton, and if you read my original post you would see that I quoted Pickering as having it for sure and I can't promise for the rest of the city.

Either way, the deal is what it is, if you can find it....great. If not, then best of luck finding it.

RB1 for PS2 has been $99.99 for ages now.

If the item is labeled a certain price, and scans at a certain price, it is most likely the given price and even asking the manager will do no good and wasting his or her time. Clearly it was the person stocking the various versions of Rockband as the PS2/Wii ones have always been cheaper at $99.99 than the XBOX360/PS3 versions of this game.
