Very nice!!! I own such a timeshare, too.
Everything this guy said is 100% true. This is the most AMAZING thing.
The main suite has a bedroom with a king bed, tv, vcr, 2 washing taps in the bathroom, jacuzzi, separate toilet with shower. Complete kitches with stove, big fridge, coffee maker, suction, microwave, counter, dinner table, 4 chairs, massive 40" tv, sound system, electric fireplace, balcony, fully air conditioned suite, full silverware, paltes, glasses, etc. The living room area has a 3-man sofa which also folds out.
The guest suite has a king size bed, faucet, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, complete bathroom with shower, separate air conditioning, balcony, tv, vcr, 2-man sofa which folds out, coffee table...
GREAT STUFF!!!

Other than the money we pay to you, is there any other fee to be paid at the resort?

No, there's no other fee for the accomodations. They also include access to the Carriage House which has the indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, and sauna, use of their towels, etc.
The lift tickets for the skiing, for example, are of course not included.
I hope that answers it.. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

nice price my friend. too bad i dont have 6 other ppl i know who can take a week off. this would be great for a uni student and friends as well, if 6 people go thats less than $20/nite per person!
just out of curiosity, cant you "bank" your timeshare and use it somewhere else on a different day?
regards,

Thanks, I think my price is very reasonable for 7 nights at this kind of resort..
The time is already fixed for the year.. We won't be able to use this week, so I'm trying to sell it.

if only this was near a real mountain :P I cant snowboard in Ontario anymore
but an amazing deal, Im going to see if I can get some people in on it and perhaps I will take it as a party room, its basically the price of a sleezy motel but with out the sleeze or the motel ;)
been in these time shares, there excellent and at an unbeleivable price, I urge anyone who has the time off to take him up on this deal

Was at one of those Shell Vacation timeshare high pressure sales presentations. They lure you there with some cheap weekend promotion package that the Horseshoe only if you agree to a tour of the Horshoe Valley Ski Resort. However, we probably spent 3 minutes touring the Inn. They make you sign a document when you check in at the Inn that if you fail to show up to a 90 minute presentation in the morning you are charged $600. Our meeting was at 10 am. We did not get out of there until 1:30 pm. You walk in there and they are super nice. I asked them if we could get a confirmation letter that we attended the meeting and they said of course but at the end. They made us take off our coats and then locked them up in a room. We had no choice they insisted and pressured us to remove our jackets. So we had to empty out our cameras, cell phones, skiing goggles wallets and other valuables and carry them around like idiots because they insisted on holding our coasts for ransom. Then we meet up with this high pressure sales person who at first acts super nice, complimentary, runs around gets us coffee and cookies and on and on. That lasts for a hour. Then he instructs us to go in a room. This chubby fellow walks in and does a presentation. Starts off by giving us this speech about credibility. That he used to be a cop. That his wife is a psychiatrist blah blah blah. Long presentation with a vacation video. Then says that his timeshare that he bought in 1999 for $20000 he could sell for $12000 profit. Well I ran a search and saw one up for sale for $3000. Then he goes on about how not to say that you want to think about it as the price after the first day offer will be considerably higher. That it must be purchased right away for the discount and then flashes an article about HBC who offered a first day sale on the second day and got sued. Someone remarks why not offer a first day sale and a penalty of 5 dollars for the second day and no response given. Others asked for the price and he refused. When asked how long you have to book in advance to use up your 1 week holiday he said up to a year or two. Its now way past 90 minutes and we are whisked out of the office and out appears our salesguy from a bunch of salespeople and escorts us to his car to view the hotel room we are locking ourselves into. It had a bad view, it was cramped full of people and I saw no appeal to this unit. And for some reason the salesguy emphasized there was free video games and pool of which the games room was overly crowded along with an overly croweded small pool. We then tell the guy we had enough it was 12:30 pm and we were hungry. The salesguy gets annoyed and drives us back and begins a high pressure sales pitch despite promising us from the outset that it would not be high sales pressure. The sales guy wanted $23,000 plus tax for a timeshare in a property at Horseshoe Valley. This gives me the right to book a one week vacation with free room stay not including meals for the rest of my life of course I have to book one year in advance and have to pay $700 dollars for maintenance fees a year plus $250 dollars in fees for something else a year. So for $1000 bucks I'm paying for a room for a week and locking myself in for life. Where the heck is the deal in that??? Then the guy says well you get a %50 discount at the Horseshoe Valey grill and bar. We were at the gril the night prior and the service was terrible and the food was mediocore not to mention the crazy experience I had with the ski rental service. At this point I had enough. I stood up and stated I would be leaving it was well beyond 90 minutes and my wife who is diabetic required lunch. He then said sure but that we would have to speak to the manager as the coats were locked. The manager comes over and begins another sales pitch. I then got up again and said listen my wife is diabetic and we need to get out of here so she could have lunch. They offered her a bagel. I said get us our coats or I'm calling the police. They got us our coats and refused to give us confirmation that we attended the meeting.
Don't get sucked into Carriage Hills at Horshoe Valley agressive tactics. Don't bother with it its a worthless contract.
See for yourselves.

Was anybody else sold into this timeshare's mailing list? Today I received a letter for a "2-day, 1-night Vacation Getaway - including free golf or dinner or skiing or spa experience" for $40. Or you can skip the Horseshoe Resort room & go right to the timeshare sales pitch for "90 minutes" then receive a $125 Keg gift certificate.
If I was closer to Barrie & didn't have a preschooler, I might go for the $125 GC. I would have to do at least 3 hours of driving and find a babysitter for at least 5 hours. Are there any better timeshare gifts available in the GTA? I hated those useless "free" Florida vacation certificates.

Did this Carriage Hills presentation last winter in Niagara Falls
Only three other couples sat in on the presentation and got the tour of the mock unit in the Falls
Everything is all nice and friendly , until they try and get you to sign a contract
We walked out , with Sales guy , cussing us , as we leave
We took the free meal and room at Old Stone Inn in the Falls ( quite a nice place BTW )
