If i'm applying to unis, would the order of my choices have an effect on the percentage of getting accepted?

I heard that UT cares a lot. Is this true?

I don't think it does, I remember it said straight from the OUAC site that the reason you rank them is just for statistical purposes to see how many students are willing to come to the school. IIRC the rank has no effect on you at all.

I've heard queens cares.. but generally, no university is gonna care how much you like em.. they just care about your marks and EC's.. i got into UT eng early even though i ordered them last.

my guidance counselor said that UofT, Queen's and Waterloo care where you rank them. So if you have these three universities in your list, you may want to rank them higher!

Yea, I heard Queens(at least for business) is the only one that cares.

if i remember correctly you had to rank UofT's engineering first for any hope of being accepted and for scholarships.
(was the case when applying for fall 2006)
