Boy, 12, charged after allegedly bringing knife and gun to school

A 12-year-old boy is facing several charges after he allegedly brought a knife and a gun to school.

Police were called out to Runnymede Junior and Senior Public School Thursday morning after receiving reports of a person with a knife.

The boy allegedly showed up to class with a knife and a "deactivated firearm." He put down the weapons when asked by the teacher, Toronto Police say.


The boy, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing six charges.

Like I said, guns should be banned. How the hell did the kid get the gun? And if it's the mom/dad, GET RID OF THEM.. FRIG.

Hooray, all the legal guns are gone and the illegally imported ones are still being carried around.

In other school news, this time in the West, today a kid got arrested at Webber Academy (Those of us in Calgary might know it's presumably the best private school in the province) for possession of pot. No clue as to how much he was carrying, but he was expelled.

If guns are banned, then an alternative weapon would be brought up... you can't really stop a kid from bringing weapons to school anyways.. only thing possible is to make the parents be more responsible
