A 12-year-old boy is facing several charges after he allegedly brought a knife and a gun to school.
Police were called out to Runnymede Junior and Senior Public School Thursday morning after receiving reports of a person with a knife.
The boy allegedly showed up to class with a knife and a "deactivated firearm." He put down the weapons when asked by the teacher, Toronto Police say.
The boy, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing six charges.
