Hey all, my roommate wants a mole removed and doesnt know of any places other then what their doctor referred, but she would like to hear from people with first hand experience(s).
Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist that does mole removal?
Cheers

Dr. Goldhar is great!
I saw him for wart removals and mole removals. He's also treated my parents and my aunts. For a mole removal that isn't covered under OHIP you should be able to see him within a few days. I never felt rushed in his office (unlike other doctors). He never pushed unneccessary treatments (unlike a certain dermatologist at Yonge and Davisville who I would NEVER see ever again), and event suggested my aunt not get a treatment done cause it would scar.

Specialists don't accept appointments without referrals.
I've been to Dr. Dutil at yonge/eglinton and she was by far the most friendly and knowledgable derma i've EVER been to. Highly recommend.

Dr. Patrick Chan @ Beverly and Dundas.
Honest doctor that will get the job done quick and effective. Although his appointments seems rushed, he will try to give you the best treatment possible for your case in the shortest period of time.

I would be extremely wary in going for any cosmetic dermatology clinics
I personally would recommend Sunnybrook Dermatology which is affiliated with University of Toronto.

On top of quality assurance, you also know that you wouldn't get ripped off.
Really, I would stay away from any cosmetic skin clinic.
*You need referral and it takes about 2 weeks to set-up an appointment and another 2 months for appointment. It's worthed however!
