How do I find out what year I've gotten my G1, G2 and full G license? I tried calling my insurance company but they don't have exact dates.

Perhaps the organization that issued the licence may have some information on it.

Do you remember how old you were when you got them? You could probably calculate based on that.

if you go to the MTO(or a MTO Kiosk) and get a drivers abstract, the date first lic'd will be on there...thats the date you got your G1.

There is another form called "licence history search". It's not your drivers abstract so won't show any tickets/susps. etc.
It will list the exact date that you received your licences as such:
G1= Day/Month/Year
G2= Day/Month/Year
G= Day/Month/year
You would need to get the "form" from MTO and it will have a fax# to send it over with your payment(pay by credit)
Hope this helps!

I have a question aswell. When your G expires do you have to redo the road exam? or just renew it?

Once you reach a certain age (i.e. something near senior citizen) you have to re-take some tests to show you are still able to drive.

Senior Citizen may be as low as 55 or 60, generally more like 65, I'd go as high as 70 even, but you dont need to take a test till 80 in Ontario.

I was wondering the exact same thing last year, and just called in. No form necessary, they told me the dates over the phone.

Drivers 70 years of age and older than get into a collision are required to pass a road test. Driver 80 years of age and older are required to take a group session, vision and knowledge test in order to renew their licence. If they have demerit points then they are required to take a road test before they can renew their licence.
