So I searched for this and it doesn't seem as if its been posted yet. I give you Akinator, the Web Genius (http://en.akinator.com/). A website able to guess who you're thinking of by asking questions.

After my second or third try with the game, I visited the top character list and saw "You!" on the list, so I wanted to see if the Akinator could guess that I was thinking of myself. So it first asks is if I'm male or female which is the standard first question I think. Then on only the SECOND question, it asks me was if I share the same DNA as my character. :-0

I tried Kate Beckingsale, Simba, Puumba, Timon, Taylor Swift, Jeremy Clarkson, Bear Grylls, Juliet, Winston Smith (1984), Olivia Benson (SVU) ... they all worked in about 12-14 questions.

WTF how long would it take to program that database?? It basically needs to contain all recognizable figures from Western music, TV, movies, literature, video games... it's like our culture encapsulated into a database.

Not great IMO. I tried 3 times, once he guessed it, the other two went into overtime he asked like 40 questions each and couldn't guess. Then at the end I typed in the answer and both were in the database. So the programmer doesn't have a very efficient method for choosing questions to ask.

Of course, the problem could be me. Maybe I didn't answer the questions correctly and confused him. But he seems to ask a similar question multiple times, so really I think the program is a dud.

Everytime he loses he asks you to put in the name of the thing you were thinking of, or choose from a list of guesses he compiles. And it's been around for a few years. So we've been feeding it all this time :-0
