Old rusted BBQ Tank, where to safely throw away?

Where is a good and safe place to throw an old rusted bbq tank away? ... does Canadian tire gas place take it away for free?

Don't take it to Sunrise.


Contact your local WalMart or Gas Station with Propane. Most have disposal units. However, I believe, if it's TOTALLY empty, then garbage it should be okay.

In Peel, propane tanks are considered hazardous waste and cannot be thrown out with regular garbage.

Drop them off at a Community Recycling Centre:
