just buy a new one.. take that adapter and put yours in it, then return it ;)
J/K of course!!!! that would be fraud and we do not condone that now do we??
Anyways, I would check the power output and pin out of the adapter you have and hit rat shack (TSCC) and see what they have..

Haha.. good idea
Too bad I can't do that either. Since my adaptor took kinda beating after my son did a crash test from 2nd floor
Anywhoo I'll do exactly what u said. I'll try TSCC first. I wonder how much it cost.
Thanks!

It's a standard 12V 1A power supply. I think Princess Auto was selling them for $8 (and it's an official Linksys power supply too)

Just make sure it is rated the same power/specs as the OEM or else you may end up frying a nice router.

All,
Had the chance to drop by Princess auto the one on dixie.
Apparently they run out of Linksys Adapter :(
So I bought one that fit my router but it is rated
12v 200mA
Will it work? I haven't plug it in yet (too scared to plug it in :cheesygri)

If the original is 12V 1A, that might not be enough current. I would say get one that matches it.

Sorry for thread jacking, but what does the white button on the left side of the router do? Network reset?, and why does this router have no power switch, I feel like splicing one into the power cable.

Just call Linksys and they'll send you one. That's what they did for me and it's out of warranty too.

Awesome tips! Did just like what you suggested.
They're sending me a replacement, we'll see once I received it

No worries... I believe that's for ez connect (or something like that) I never actually tried it. Since I had 3rd party FW since day 1.
Well you could always put a power bar before the adapter. So you can turn it off/on and dont need to splice anything ;)

It's their junk called 'Secure Easy Setup'. I've never used it, but I think it sets up a wireless network and assigns a 'secure' password.
