Here is my situation I have a close friend who was here from china for school and his student visa expired and due to some complications he couldn't renew it. Anyway he wants to sell me his Audi for $8000 to pay off the remaining loan he has on the car and his student loans. The car has 5000 kms on it and still covered under warrantly all the bells and whistles ect. I currently drive a Toyota Corolla that I share with my girlfriend as we both work the same shift and it works out well. How ever it has 173000 kms and its a 2002.
What kind of insurance levels would I be excepting to pay as well as gas? I'm trying to do some research as I will be dropping alot of money this year on the house I bought. Also anything else I should do/know?

well there are some details that I left out about why he got deported. The car was involved in it. So maybe its gonna be tagged by the cops as a drug car?

If a vehicle has been used in the commission of a crime, I believe it can be confiscated by the police.

I don't know if they can still do this if ownership has been transferred to another individual.

You should research this before doing anything....

This is either the deal of the century or a scam. $8k for an 08 A6? Sounds like the latter...

I've got a friend in Detroit who needs to get rid of his Porsche 911 Turbo for $10,000. First person willing to give me the money, I'll have him ship it to you.

THIS VERY WELL KEPT SEDAN HAD BEEN GARAGED KEPTED AND WASHED WEEKLY. CLEAN CARFAX AND AN EXCEPTIONAL VEHICLE ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!

This kinda reminds me of posts like this:

For some reason the OP shares a story about his girlfriend (no pictures provided ) and their beloved 2002 Corolla.

lol

while you at it, check for other garbage like used condoms, and sign of blood. You will need black light. If it glows all over uniformly, he's used chlorine to clean it out. But the bottom of the carpet is extremely tough to clean. Learned that from CSI.
