2006Ford Fusion VS 2005/6 Mazda 3

Hi, I hope someone can help me, I'm looking to buy a car that hopefully wont have too many major problems that needs to be fixed in the near future. since im just a student, after buying the car im basically left with almost no money, I dont wanna have to fix the car all the time, can someone please tell me which car is better? more reliable? I know they are about the same price and I will bring a technician with me when im buying the car, but just wanna get a general idea on which is better.

The Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion are riding on the same Ford platform. The Mazda 3 also rides on a Ford platform. Personally I would go with the Fusion as it received a lot of accolades by auto journalists.
