The price is valid until April 20th (Monday) at Staples and it's currently IN-STOCK around GVR. It would be even a better deal if you apply a $20 off $150 coupon in conjunction with the sale price to bring it down to $169.99 + taxes I think that would be a decent price for this product.

Cheers!

I bought a 255 when SIG Electronics had it for around $150 a few months back. It's a great unit, simple no fancy bells & whistles, but works really well.

The price that SIG was selling this at was a Steal!

But 170$ is a pretty good price for this unit.

$180 (after $100 off). However, looks like it is discontinued model.

For those that get a Garmin GPS now, the latest map updates for North America v.2010.1 came out 2 weeks ago, so make sure that you update your GPS within 30 days from purchase.

The Nuvi 200 is missing these features:
1) Speaks street names (e.g. "Turn right ON ELM STREET in 500 ft.")
2) FM Transmitter
3) Emergency "locate me" function

It seems that a lot of people value the 'speak street name' feature because they can focus more on the road and don't have to look at the gps to see which street/intersection to turn etc... Hope that helps! One more day before the deal ends, cheers/

I bought one of these too, but the only problem i hate is the fact the keyboard is a ABC keyboard, and not a QWERTY keyboard.

How it compares to GARMIN nüvi 200 ..

The Nuvi 200 has smaller memory, so it can't hold maps for all North America. There's 2 versions. The Nuvi 200 has maps of the US only (no Canada maps). The Nuvi 200C has maps for Canada and border US states, but not the rest of the US.

Newegg is selling the Nuvi 200, so it has no Canada maps at all. It's also "refurbished", so stay away from that one.
