Thanks for posting OP! But I think your post has already been discussed here http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703290 and here http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=721031. You could have simply just added the 'freebies' in one of these threads. IBTL! :D

A good deal for those in Toronto. It's too bad there are just 2 dates left, and they are over a month away. I'll probably have forgotten this deal by then.

To be honest, it's rather enjoyable. Went to the last "dry" game and there were a lot less unfunny people trying to be funny, heh.

Went the other day and the $9.50 beers were as much of a reason not to drink (or come well primed from a Steam Whistle brewery "six pack tour" (http://www.steamwhistle.ca/tour/tourinfo.php)across the street) as anything!

I got tickets to this game ages ago and I can't believe my luck - $1 dogs and now Scotty Richmond has been bumped for tomorrow's game in place of Halladay!
Can anyone comment on the quality of the dogs for a buck? There were rumblings that they were sub-par. Can anyone confirm?

They're the small kids size ones. Quality is just okay.

I was at the game VS Detroit Tigers. I lined up for literally 2 innings to get the $1 hot dog at the 200 level concession stand. I swear the line was like 20 deep! Anyways, the guy sitting next to me was smart enough to go down to the 100 level, and was back in 5mins with his hot dogs. So keep that in mind when you are at the game:cheesygri.

Yesterday wasn't a dry day and reports (http://www.thestar.com/News/GTA/article/621100)...
"Yesterday, 22,000 were on hand under a closed dome. It's still an uncommonly quiet crowd. They saved their noisiest moment for the awarding of free pizza following the seventh strikeout by the Jays pitching staff."
The crowd must have been mostly RFD'ers!

Going down to the 100 level will not always work because if there is a Rogers Centre employee at the bottom of the ramp, you may not be allowed to enter the ground floor of the stadium. Also, there is usually still a fair sized crowd at field level. However, the 100 level appears to using different cooking/prepration methods and from what I saw on Sunday.
But that person sitting beside you does have the right idea and there is absolutely no need to line up for that long for the $1 dollar hot dogs if you are in the 200 level outfield seats. If you are seated on the right field side, walk to the consession stands at either 215 or 219. If you are on the left field side, walk to the consession stands at 233 or 229 and the line up will be 1 or 2 people deep. Because these are Value games, the 200 level seats other than the outfield seats have almost no demand for them. If you walk quickly and get your hot dogs at section 219 or 229, I promise you'll be back in about 1/2 of an inning.
If you are trying to purchase 200 Level Outfield seats at $5 and there are none available, do not give up. For every one of these games that I checked ticket availability for from last year's $2 promotion and this year's $5 promotion, entire blocks of tickets become available on the day of the game. Often times, they even happen to be the very best seats in that area (low rows in section 211 etc...). Another thing you can do is personally visit the box office and if they tell you that there is no pair of tickets available, ask the sales person to manually check the seating diagram for the following and use this exact wording, "are there any seats that are side-by-side in 2 adjascent sections?". Because the tickets actually list seats by the closest aisle numbers and not actual section numbers, the single seat in the middle of each aisle number (section) will usually be the last one sold and you will have 2 seats that are together that meet in the middle, even though they list a different aisle. The computer that they use for ticket availability will not know that the seats are beside each other and will give the person an error message that there is nothing availabile. That's why you have to specifically ask the employee to manually check for you.

Jays ticketing system is a piece of work ...
8 Minutes for the tickets, try to buy multiple games ... yeah right.
You wouldn't have to try to buy for multiple games if there wasn't a $5 Mailing fee ...
And sorry, I'm not printing at home, I don't trust it. I've seen problems at the door and therefore, I'm not trusting it.
The Jays are the only ones I know of that charge such a high fee just to get the tickets and offer very little chances to pick up the tickets (in person at the box office - no thanks).
I've been meaning to find out if the tickets can be picked up at Jays shops, such as the Eaton Centre ... THAT would be beneficial.

I'm not sure that I understand your concerns about print@home tickets. They are identical to box office printed tickets in every way except that are printed on your own printer on a sheet of paper. If someone had problems with print@home tickets at the gate, that means that there were multiple copies of the same ticket. While it is possible for someone to randomly generate a working serial number barcode of a ticket, there is no way the person would have the correct seating informatin and a fake ticket would set off a flag. The only reason those people had problems with print@home tickets was for one of the following reasons: the ticket is faked, the person did not safeguard the information on the ticket and it was copied, or the most likely scenario - the person did not buy it directly from the Blue Jays. The exact same things can go wrong with box office printed tickets. There can be multiple copies of the same ticket. Anyone can get a duplicate of a ticket printed which will make the original one useless (you have to provide proof that it was your ticket). A photocopy of the ticket, a box office receipt, order number to reference a charge on your credit card, etc.... The moral of the story is that that you are just as likely to have problems with a ticket that is printed on the box office's ticket paper and you can really only trust the ticket 100% if you personally purchased it from the baseball club.
Actually, in some ways the print@home tickets are more secure. If you purchased the tickets yourself, your name is on the ticket. The Jays could verify the name of the person used to purchase the ticket even if there were any concerns that it was altered by Photoshop. If you bought the tickets yourself and have a problem at the gate (ie... someone at your workplace made a duplicate, someone stole a copy from your desk etc) showing some identification that proves that the ticket is yours would have the people with the stolen tickets ejected from the stadium and the rightful owner would be allowed in.
Since you are saying that you would like to pick up at the Jays shop@Sears Eaton Centre, all you have to do is go to the store and purchase and select your tickets there. You can also purchase tickets at any Rogers Plus Store but I know that those stores also charge fees similar to the online fees and it is also just a print@home ticket that they print for you. The Jays Shop@Sears may also be doing the same thing as the Rogers stores. However, Eaton Centre is only a few minute drive and not even a 15 minute walk from Rogers Centre and you could go to the box office in person and save all of the service fees, except a $2 per ticket charge.
