Good price on an awesome camera. This is a must-have for anyone with kids.
Tip for those buying one of these: turn off face detection when shooting movies in low light to prevent the AF from hunting excessively.

Pretty good price - I doubt, though, that this can be PM'd - it's essentially a discontinued item & AFAIK BB & FS no longer carry it.
If there are still abunch of these in the pipeline, maybe there'll be even better deals.
The JPEG encoding is a big dealbreaker for many (google it for the reviews). I've been tempted to get one due to its size, but can't justify it vs. my HF100. if it was AVCHD, I'd likely grab one as a pocket cam for touring .

the links above are .COM, US site.
.CA link is below
http://accessories.dell.com/sna/products/Digital_Point_Shoot/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&cs=cadhs1&sku=A1595951
FYI:
If its .COM (US site) BB/FS may give you hard time for PMing it, or they would simply say, we do not PM, since its a US site.

McBain camera has some, according to their website - whether they will PM or not, is questionable.

Since you're in Sask, maybe shipping time won't be a problem.

Last Dec. I got one from Costco at $229 when they cleared it out. Yeah, it's pretty hard to find one now, so grab one when you can -- it's a very good all around point-and-shot camera. The only complaint I have so far is its battery runs out juice pretty quick, and you can't use those handy AA batteries on it.

You can pick up a battery out of ebay. I got one , I think is an Digipower, and works really nice in my SD1000. I have 3 now so juice won't be an issue.
Another good brand in Lenmar:

I've had this camera for awhile now...
I really like it though most people think it's a video camera and stop me from taking pictures at events...
In my opinion this is a good Point N Shoot Camera & the 10X Zoom is great...
Here's a sample of one of my latest shots from The Apple Store 2 the Metric show... I was all the way at the back of the store using the zoom at max with no flash and Emily Haines was moving...

Got it Monday and bought a Lexar 16GB card from WM and they're made for eachother.
The movie mode is amazing compared with my other camcorder and pictures are on par with SD1100 , not as good like the SD1000 ones but close enough.

I've had this camera for awhile now. Bought it when it came out at $500.
Some negatives:
-Poor low light performance relative to other cameras
-Video files are huge due to motion jpeg. So know your way around a video converter.
-When taking stills red eye is a very common problem due to the flash being so close to the lens. (however there is a red-eye remover tool built-in that works reasonably well)
-Feels a little weird in your hand but you quickly get used to it.
-Using the zoom will eat your batteries... If I know that I will be shooting a lot of video I will bring extra batteries with me. Good news is that its the NB-4L battery which most of the SD400-500-600 etc series use which I also have.
Some Positives:
-10x zoom is awesome. If your used to common 3x cameras you will feel like your holding a small telescope.
-Has feature called super-macro (not ot be confused with the normal macro setting) With this enabled you can press an object right up to the lens and the camera will still focus on it.
-Video (720p at 30fps)/Picture quality in normal to bright conditions is really good.
-Video sound is fantastic, hear all the highs and low sub frequencies.
-Solid design, doesn't feel cheaply made.
-If you have a canon camera, using this one will be very intuitive.
I gave a more detailed review somewhere else on this forum the last time a deal for this came up.. Search online, you'll find decent reviews out there.
