I got an antenna from Dealextreme.com for pretty cheap (2.50) and I put it up outside my house. It works fairly well, I get about 7 HD channels and some other ones too about 15 in total...but the problem is as you can see from the pic below that it looks pretty unstable :D...and was just worried if it could get damaged or something else may cause the TV to be damaged because it is not grounded...if anyone can help me out or suggest something that would be great! :cheesygri

You could have spent your money on a much better setup.

Theres a dedicated OTA HD thread, you may want to post in there.

That doesn't really look like a safe setup and you can get way more channels if you spent a little more.

I have been following the two threads that you've mentioned , since this is something totally new for me I just picked up the antenna as a lark and was surprised that a couple of bucks are netting me about 15 channels , that too with amazing clarity,

next step is to try and make one , if not satisfied then probably buy the one suggested by the others, meanwhile all I wanted to find out is that, is this antenna safe to leave out as it is?

Ive made a 4 bay before, while it works well, just shell out and buy a clone channelmaster and you won't regret the purchase. You should just really do it right the first time.

Most likely will buy it when time will permits, but meanwhile its fun to fiddle around with this tiny one , its now sitting inside on a chair near the window and still giving clear reception for TVO, Global, City TV, CFMT, OMNI 1 & 2 etc. , unbelievable :D
