Hi all, I did a quick search with "Ad Block" keyword and didn't find any related thread. I didn't go thru all the result b/c I got to go right away after finishing this thread.
Anyway, yesterday, I found a program called AdBlock Plus (freeware) that stop popup, advertisement, spam etc when used in conjunction with firefox. Even with firefox, you can get popup advertisement and ads within a website. Sometime certain advertisements have embedded trojan or malware that (caused a slight lockup on my computer, which indicated to me some stupid malware got installed on my computer) can installed on your computer. IE is more prone to this problem than firefox, so I stopped using IE for along time now. If this happened to you before, you can use Malwarebyte Anti-Malware (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) to scan for detection and removal for free.
Anyway again, AdBlock Plus is an open source code and free to use. So it should be a clean solution. You can get AdBlock Plus from http://adblockplus.org . Just installed it as an Addon onto firefox. You also have the ability to uninstall it too.
I am not affiliated with this program, just a user that witness its awesomeness and want to share my discovery. I will be rolling out this apps on my other sis and bro computers soon.
