Planning to drive to a place close to Yorkdale Shopping Centre from Mississauga (Square One, 30 mnts drive) tomorrow.
I need to be there by 900 AM.
I guess it's rush hour, how is the morning traffic?!
Thx in adv.

If I were you, I'd take the GO bus to Yorkdale, and use that commute time to do something useful.
There is one bus that leaves Square One at 8:00am, and is scheduled to arrive at Yorkdale at 8:40am.

Thanks...
Yep, I checked the GO bus also alrdy.
But the latest bus to go back home is a bit early, 18.10 (http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/en/schedule/pubsched.aspx?table=19&direction=1&day=1&New=&station=S1TM)!!....
Unless... there are other public transportation besides GO later than that?
Yorkdale-Kipling-Mississauga Transit? 1.5-2 hr?!

TTC of course, take the bus to Islington/Kipling station. then go EASTBOUND till you reach St George. walk up the stairs go NORTHBOUND till yorkdale.
will only cost you 2.75 and NO TRAFFIC.

Take your car and leave at 7 or 7:30 am. If you're use to commute with your car, you'll be more happier with your car.

Parking at TTC stations aren't free anymore. So the cost of parking and fare both ways is what would cost him the same amount in gas anyway.
Just drive, leave at 7:30.
I use to work in Richmond Hill a few years ago, leave at 7:30am from Mississauga got to Hwy 7 and Leslie by 8:40am with time to spare to stop at the Timmy's for my morning fix. Did this for a whole year... :(
Yorkdale is closer so you can leave at 8 and still get there on time. Everyone wants to get to work - unless some idiot gets into an accident for following too closely, or talking on the phone, or falling asleep at the wheel.

Parking at Yorkdale is $5. Take that for what it's worth.

Since when? I've never paid to park at Yorkdale.
Just use the lot for the customers/shoppers.

OP, if you decide to park at the mall and leave the premise, make sure you park on the opposite side of the mall and walk through ... so they don't suspect ur using the parking lot to go somewhere else and not shop

I doubt they can possibly check that whole parking lot for this.

there's a security guarding the entrance on the 401 side of the parking lot aka north side. think there might be security guarding the other entrances also, directing u accordingly if you aren't there to shop, work, or w/e the reason may be.

Before 9:30am.
Really? How do they enforce the payment? I could see if you were parking in the underground/tower parking, since they have booths at the entrances. How about the main outdoor, uncovered, parking lot?

They have all the outdoor parking gated off. The only parking that is open before 9:30 is the covered TTC parking, which now costs $5/day.

Yes, except for the TTC paid area, the rest of the parking lot is gated off until rush hour is over.
Otherwise the entire lot would very easily fill up with people taking advantage of free parking, and commute to downtown via the subway.

I guess you never try to get into mall parking before 9am. Almost any decent malls lock up its parking lot before 9am.

This country is designed for cars. Public transit is a joke. If you have a car, always drive! It is a no-brainer!

Nope, never had any reason to go to a mall before 9am.

How did he own me? I was unaware that you had to pay in the early morning and was asking him how it worked. He kindly explained it to me.
