What happens if you do that? If you don't pay, and get stopped by one of those guys, but give them a legit ID, thats out of province and old(Alberta drivers license). Or how about a legit Ontario one, with an old address(health card).

Do you honestly think all you have to do to stop prosecution is to change your address? All of those dumb criminals spending time in jail when all they really had to do was move.

But not all of the info isn't wrong, the old ID would have a correct name. Depending on how common the name is it might not be hard to track someone down.
Moreover, I'm sure databases like credit rating agencies (ex: Transunion) keep old address data and match it to the current address. I'm not sure what sort of powers Go Transit has to access all that info, but you never know.

Can't you get a criminal record for lying and providing false info to the peace officers?

They take yoru name, address, and License OR Health Card Number. They, when they return to the office, will run that through their computer. They will see that you have given then false information - thus comitting fraud - and send the REAL Police to your door or work place.
If you give an Alberta License, they will track you. When they search for your AB number here, it'll say "This person has been given Ontario License Number N0000 0000 0000 0000, and that will pop up your current address, and as the saying goes, your a$$ is grass, and GO is the lawn mower ...
DO NOT try it. IT WILL Bite you in the a$$

as long as it cheks out and ur name is not on it, then i guess u can get away w it.
but after u get caught once, they will chek all the time to see if u got the ticket.
plus if u pay for ur ticket u help the GO develop. means the GO exists. thats y i pay for my GO rides.
i dont want to use a a bus that stops @ ever stop to go from islington to sq.1 and then form there to hamilton and form there to niagara.
u get the point

you moved you didnt have time to update your driver license.... how is that fraud. if the GOPOLICE didnt ask for the right address it's their own fault
the ID has your name and your picture... it's legit.
