Hey,

Anyone have any thoughts on the most cost effective printers out there? I don't want to feel violated every time I have to buy a new cartridge.

Thanks...

For B&W printing, buy a laser printer that can be refilled easily and cheaply ...

What are some models that students (aka low on money) should be looking at for B&W printing?

Theres a thread on Hot Deals for cheap laser printer 49.99 @ Zellers, forgot which brand.

But for cheap printers, get something like Samsung, Brother, or HP. They occasionally go on sale for 50-60ish and most of them are refillable. As models go, i own a Samsung ML-2510 i got for 50@ staples, other models may include Brother HL-2140.

Hard to beat a 50 dollar printer that costs 10 dollars in toner to print 3000 pages. And toners dont dry out like inkjets.

heres the thread, you might be able to find stock near you.

Thank you. It seems that the same printer now only costs $30!
