in decreasing order

1. public health
2. dangerous/painful for animals
3. can breed to produce more problems

Of course they can't release them into the wild! Have some common sense.

Look at the poorer parts of the world where dogs run wild. They're not cute and cuddly. They're shot on sight because of the risk of rabies and attacks on small children.

How can you care about dogs when people are starving in your own neighbourhood? It is disgraceful we spend money on useless animals and do not give the same respect to other human beings.

...would you take a domesticated bunny and release him? Bunnies have nary a vicious bone in their bodies; domesticated varieties are downright defenseless. Same thing with other animals of the domesticated sort.

The only exceptions of animals that could probably tough it out? This bunny (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg) and this cat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF8fPkV9HNc) (turn down speakers for cat vid).

Exactly, i think we get our priorities wrong. I find it disgusting that so much money is spent into so-called animal shelters and spending even more $$$ to give animals COMPLICATED surgeries that in human cases, would have to wait for months.

The simplest way for all stray animals - CO gas and cremation. No more wasted money.

Ya cats and dogs here are really skinny, they go around helplessly eating ppl's trash, there's no need for a pet they're around everywhere but when you feel them it's bony ewww.
