EB games: Godfather II for PS3 at $39.99

Hi,

I was just at EBgames a while ago and notice Godfather II was priced at $39.99 (USED copy at $34.99). Last when I checked at EB, it was $59.99. Future Shop online still shows it at $59.99. Not sure if anyone else noticed that.

I asked the CSR if that's a permanent price drop, but he said it seems like a sale price and may go up any time. I only took a look at ps3 version so not sure about 360.

Really? I thought it was a decent game. No hall of fame game but still pretty decent.

Reviews are often not very accurate but 3/10 for this game is about right. I have a friend who got it on first day and he was pretty disappointed and I told him you really can't expect much out of a video game made out from a movie.

IGN gave it a 7.6.

I think it depends alot on what you expect from the game. True graphics are pretty crap here, but I heard gameplay is good.

The game is a lot of fun...glad I bought it. I'd give it around an 8ish. There's some really fun elements that they've added. If you enjoyed the first one - this is more of the same which is a good thing.

Reviews gave it way too little credit. It's a lot of fun, especially online. It's like the first one but with a bigger crew, robbing banks, battling other members, assassinations. It follows the second movie to a degree, you even go to Cuba to take over business there.

7/10 at least, the graphics are nothing special but the game is worth it at 40.

This has dropped everywhere, Future Shop price changed today.

And its a decent game, if you liked the first. No way near a 3/10.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. Resident Evil was ok - oops, that one was the other way around. :)

Yeah Well Mafia II won't be out till 2010 now. They keep moving up the release date. Seems like forever.

The new Batman game looks pretty good...

If you are going by critics score, just a note that they were told they could not release any poor or bad reviews until a certain time after the game has been released. On the other side, if they gave it a great score and put it on the cover or top story, they could release the great score right away.

Take it for what it's worth, but I think critics are not liking this game. I don't care what critics say but if you are basing your decision off their scores, might want to put your wallet back.
