Damn that's a tough one. A choice between Smart Cash and License thread. Maybe I'll vote for the License next year when I do my G2 exit test :P IMO the tiv should be in competition with the other 'coupon' threads :P

I wanted to pick tiv thread and Eb games but only allowed to pick one so I guess it had to be eb games

I understand that chickenwing started the thread on the EB TIV, but really the credit to the underlying work should go to neksus...

Well, it depends on how you think of it. I have a mortgage, and I definitely find the mortgage thread useful. But it's more of a one time thing. You look through the thread ,do your research, then get your mortgage based on your findings. After that, until you have to do it over again, there's no real reason to return to that thread.

The TIV thread is quite different in that people go back to that thread over and over and over again. It's just the nature of that thread.

..well that and i m very sure there are more gamers in rfd than ppl looking for good mortgages on rfd.

That, and most people that use the mortgage thread aren't regular users of RFD, whereas the gaming crowd are the right demographic to hang around on a computer :)

I think the poles are kind of not organized the way they should be...IMO we should have like a different categories
Like instead of having Group a/b/c with random threads in each why not have threads that compete with each other? Like the EB with TIV thread was a good idea...but when a mortgage thread comes in out of no where...I don't think that is any thing close to those...maybe we could have had this:
In one group:
Mortgage thread (this group)
Insurance thread (group B)
hardwood flooring thread (group b)
Osap tips/advice/questions (group b)
The Official RFD thread for Savings Accounts (group a)
Ask Me About FSWEP and the Federal Government (group a)

^
All of these have something to do about your home and advantages...they actually would be more competitive rather than putting video games with home threads where obviously the gaming threads would win as IMO this thread has more tech geeks than anythign else which explains much more threads in the elec, comp, and games sections

I'll be quite saddened if the TIV thread lost. C'mon, several years of help versus 1 month of help? The choice should be obvious.

I should just put that $50 works out to around $.10 an hour for the actual work I've put into this

Or put it in the title of the thread like the Daily Doorbusters thread did =p I definitely think TIV thread is more useful and longer-lasting even with my limited usage of it.

Also I just remembered I have a TIV to update!

How is this even a contest? neksus' thread is a thousand times more helpful, the doorcrasher thread involves any joe shmoe picking up a phone, saying 3 words, and hanging up. Most of the information is stolen from another site, anyways. Yeah, let's vote for a random RFDer who happened to notice a sale first and updates the title based on information OTHER people are offering, as opposed to a guy who is helping 90% of the gaming community get games cheaper. Asses.
