Meh. Why would anyone pretend to buy an ugly rice-box?

It was a pretty good shaming but I wouldn't call it epic. It would have been funnier if the real owner and his friends trolled him along for a while before revealing the OP was lying. The OP seemed really excited to post until the truth was revealed.

 WTF? Are you serious? I hate most Toyotas but dude that's a Supra and one that's been really nicely done up at that.

I always loved the Supra, too bad Toyota cancelled it and then started focusing on crap like the Echo/Yaris and hybrids, and how to make their cars more and more mundane as the years go by.

There's a thread on Gencoupe.com showing the Genesis Coupe next to a Supra and the many were surprised the Korean car is actually bigger and looks more sportier than the Supra if you can imagine that. The Supra is iconic though and nothing will ever change that.

I've seen the same thread. But come on man, that Supra was designed almost 20 years ago and was never really considered a beauty. I'd sure hope that anyone designing a rear drive sports coupe nowadays would be able to make it better looking.

I like the Gen. A lot. But it still has nothing on the FD RX7's. Those were the real beauties of the Japanese rear drivers.

This picture (of the dude btw) summarizes the story the best:

Agreed, except the interior is so outdated. A Grand Tourer needs to have creature comforts and make you want to drive and never get out; the FD has neither that nor reliability, from my limited understanding.

I disagree. I love the FD interior. Very driver oriented. :D

As for the reliability, well, it'll make a tuner out of ya!
