I had a lot of fun waving to people going the other way while I was in a gondola or cable cars, whatever you call them.

I tried this at Hong Kong's Ngong Ping 360, and Ocean Park. At first, these people waved to me so I waved back. Then I tried it, and I got some people to wave back to me :) I felt really good about it... Some girls didn't wave back to me...:lol:

Some people must have thought I was crazy.

I randomly say hi/talk to people on the TTC all the time (and I get randomly talked to as well), and I have some really great convo's with strangers on the TTC as well. In fact (no joke) I actually met a girl on the TTC randomly and we started dating for a while :lol:

But of course you'll always have people who are wierded out and think you are trying to steal something from them / stalk them / do something strange to them

The Ngong Ping 360 is a pretty interesting ride, although there's nothing at the top except this fake village and the big buddha.

I'm sure most people thought waving would be weird, and Hong Kong is generally an uptight city. But as long as you enjoyed yourself, it's all good.

Girls are just sometimes afraid because there are a lot of questionable characters (Cantonese: ham sup lo) in the city.

True. I've met quite a few myself. And my friends have shared enough stories for me to know there are a ton of them out there.
