Does anyone currently collect their bath water to flush their toilets? Does the soap cause problems? Any dirt usually sinks to the bottom of the tub so if the soap is not problem for the toilet then it should work fine.

I think you'll be fine, as grey water being used in the toilet is common place:

I think the key to any of these systems to to not allow bacteria to grow within the place you are holding the grey water.

I bath using a bucket (and sometimes wash my clothes in the bucket too), I save the water for flushing the toilet. I have been doing this for over a year and haven't noticed any problem.

I think i read somewhere that these types of systems are already common in parts of europe. Makes good sense to me. I can see this being popular in cottage country/rural areas where they live on well water, and have septic systems.
