My neighbour in mississauga has a climing tree that produced big long roots to my garden and all over my lawn. I kept cutting the roots but it spread more and more every year.
Please advice what should I have to do. I still have not communicate with my neighbour yet.
Is there any law that help to convince my neighbour to cut it away?
Thanks very much

I had a similar problem developing with roots coming under the fence and running to my garden (wettest place in the yard). Fortunately the neighbor obviously noticed the same root problem on his side of the fence and cut the tree down before I had the opportunity to talk to him.
Talk to your neighbor and show him your problem. If he's reasonable he'll take care of it.

Tree vs Lawn? With me, the tree would win and you'd get nowhere. But with a spreading root like that, you might convince him to take down the tree by explaining that the root could undermine the structure of his house and the drain system.

We have a big problem with our neighbours tree. Little trees have been sprouting up all over our yard for years. We cant seem to get rid of them!! They just re sprout after they are pulled out.
And it is not just lawn they are ruining, its my landscaping with lava rock.
This year they have made it all the way over to the other side of the yard and back yard, sprouting up like crazy.
I really want to kill that tree.

I used to have that problem in a previous house with suckers popping up all over. I got a concentrated herbicide and a small foam brush and carefully coated each one, especially any leaves. Waited a week or so for them to die and then cut them off at ground level. After a while there were fewer and fewer coming up and almost none 2 years later when I moved. Maybe the tree was dying at that point, I don't know.
