Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to search for net new housing listings (say, at www.mls.ca)? For example, to find homes that came on the market within the last week?
I have a pretty wide criteria when looking for a home, but would like to see what's new every week - not the same 100+ homes that come up..

I know realtors can do that easily (or specify any set of dates) with their access, however I don't think it is possible on mls.ca (at least not that I have ever been able to find. It is possible to have a realtor set up an alert for you that will automatically email to you new listings that match your criteria.

you should not be looking at houses listed on mls for the last week but houses before they even go public on mls.
listings go on mls for realtor's only for 3 days, then it goes public where anyone on the net can see.
have your realtor set up a notification based on your criteria. he/she will get emails once it's listed (before it goes public) and have the realtor send the listing to you.
then if you find something you like, tell the realtor to set up a showing before it goes public.
That's how I found my place.

Talk to your realtor.. Our's put our search criteria in a database and it sent us emails whenever something new meeting our 'demands' came on the market.
Great tool, way better than MLS and faster too (houses on this before MLS).

As mentioned above, the only way to get real access is through a realtor. The ads on MLS are dated and all the really good stuff has generally been sold just as the ad is listed.
