Remember, these people aren't your friends IRL.

A lot of people have more texts than they know what to do with. And nationwide texts are all the same cost, no long distance within canada.

I think I have 1000 a month and I don't even hit 20.

I accidentally made some texting buddies for a short while, when my Koodo/Telus provider had some glitches in their system. I was getting texts from random people all over the country and I ended up starting a new conversation =)

Might be fun if you're bored, but I find it pretty pointless.

No one thinks you're the pedo. The way you wrote your OP makes you seem like a pedo's prime target. If most of the folks on RFD are adults (re: old farts) and you (re:young) are requesting "texting buddies" to communicate with, what do you think that makes you look like?

Didn't know nationwide was the same, I don't know anyone outside of Toronto. I've texted over to the States before and got hit with LD charges.
