What Full tower case should I get?

My budget is $400.00 - Can anyone recommend a case that has good ventilation/quiet?

I was also looking the at the Thermaltake Armor/Kandalf system, but it seems that it good OK reviews only, and some of you have hinted on Thermaltakes cheap build quality.

My parts that are going in are (so far) ; i7 920 D0 Stepping, Asus Rampage 2 Extreme Edition.

If you can add a bit more in you're budget, get the Lian Li X2000. Very good ventilation! I think it's like 459$ at CC..cheapest there via pricecanada.

But if you're looking for a case with water cooling pre built..get the Silverstone TJ09 or something along those lines...

To begin with, dropping $400 just on a case is a complete waste. Don't touch Termaltake - their cases are very poorly designed and the build/assembly quality is very low (e.g. front door doesn't close properly, etc).

Silverstone and Lian-Li would be good expensive choices.

Your leaving out the Antec 1200 which has the option of buying directly from Antec the 200 mm rad for watercooling that mounts under the top fan. Also it has all kinds of possbilities for externaly mounting a rad like with the latest top end thermaltake pro water 880i thats been released.

+ lot cheaper then a Liam Li which can further go into better water cooling parts or what not.

LOL Murdermod is wayyyy out of league in price.

I saw the antec 1200 @ Infonec today, and the sales dude (who was helpful) suggested it to me.

I could add water cooling after so its not that big of a deal (since I scrapped the thermaltake)

Yeah, the Antec 1200 is a very good full tower as well. I use this but I've never tried water cooling in it because I'm not into that stuff. Alas, it is a large, comfy case (much easier on the wallet, too).

It's just the possibilities you could do to the case. If you're stepping into the realm of watercooling, be prepare to drop more money than your actual computer parts :D

+1... I could build another computer with $400, but I guess to each their own.

Well in my defense, I consider a case to be an important yet overlooked element of a computer :)

I made a mistake of buying a NZT Case a couple years ago..

Depends on what community I guess. The main priority on RFD is to save money so I wouldn't see many people dropping a lot of money into a metal box. Go over to other enthusiast sites and the picture is much different. Lian Li and Silverstone wouldn't be in business if everyone wanted value for their money, nor German car companies for that matter :)

I love my V1200 and wouldn't give it up for anything less.

How much did you pay for it ? The only flaw in my P180 b is it's hefty weight, other than that, it's perfect for me, the $80 USD I paid almost 2 years ago is the perfect price/performance imo. If I was lanning and brought my case around everywhere, then yes something Al would make sense.

Took a look at Antec's latest P183, man, nice stuff, small improvements only make that thing better, like the repositioned lower fan mount and less restrictive intake grills

$255 from directcanada. I wouldn't bring my V1200 around though because it weights like 50 pounds with all the watercooling stuff in it :D
It's not that light even when it's empty because the metal is pretty thick gauge.

Antec 1200 with a TRUE120 or IFX-14, that's as close as you can get to water cooling without actually going there.
