Manual said T-IV but the Dipstick said WS

It would be safer to go with what is on the dipstick.

how many kilometer you got on the matrix already? because a 2009 and you already changing the trans. oil???

Years ago Chrysler used up some old dipsticks that instructed the user to use the wrong type of transmission fluid. Why your asking this question on this forum I'm not sure? Try your dealer?

WS fluid is short for World Standard (who the hell comes up with these terminology). Most newer Toyota's use T-IV Fluid.
How many KM do you have on the car now? Generally, I change the transmission fluid every 48,000 KM and the most is about 96,000 KM. I like to keep the fluid clean then saving a few $$.
I would check the owner's manual or call Toyota Canada for direction.

I would advise going to the dealer and using the fluid that came with the car in the first place.
