Hi all!

I recently got my second speeding ticket in the last 6 months. This one is for supposedly going 70km on a 50km zone.... The officer reduced the charge on my ticket (after I gave him puppy dog eyes!) to 65km, so I owe the govt $52 as opposed to over $100.

For me though, its not the ticket charge that I'm worried about. Its my insurance. I'm with State farm on a G2 license that I got in February. I am already paying an exorbitant fee of $199 monthly for the most basic coverage they have. It will hurt me to have to pay any more.

I know I should have thought of all this on that quiet Saturday morning on that deserted road as I let my mind wander and my speed climb, but I would appreciate any advice you guys have on this on for me.

My main questions are:

1. Approximately how much do you think my insurance payments will increase next year as a result of these two tickets? I am a 26 yr old female next year and I live in Mississauga.

2. Do I stand a chance in court? I've been reading through some threads and it does seem pretty complicated. I'm on contract at present place of employment and any time taken off is less money in my pocket.

Thank you!
