hey guys I did a search but no luck, I have a 90' civic DX, and I plan on putting a cold air intake on it but was told that I require something to block the cone filter from sucking in warm air and need to build a block/air box thing, I was wondering if anyone could direct me on how to do this..

-Thats what it looks like, But I don't feel that I should use cardboard. what else could I use? remember it needs to be built for a 90 civic dx. :)
-cheers!

use some cardboard to make a prototype and trace onto sheet metal and weld it together..

+1, CT has rolls of thick aluminum that you can cut and bend by hand. Look in the auto body repair supplies/paint section

Isn't a Civic = 1.6L while Integra = 1.8L? Ask on some Honda forums

It doesn't show up as being interchangeable by part number between the 1.5L and 1.8L, but that doesn't mean it won't fit.
You'll have to either compare both units physically or ask someone on the Honda forums

Dunno about an icebox but if you want a slushbox, I wouldn't worry too much because most automakers have had that perfected for decades.
Oh and LMFAO at insane attempts to get colder air into a 1.5L 90s Honda  Seriously just be glad you're getting what is likely stellar fuel economy. You'd have to put rocket boosters on the side of that car to actually make it fast, nevermind colder air intake, LOL.

Seems to me that by enclosing the big filter unit you may as well have kept the stock one in the box it came in? The whole purpose of that big filter is to take all air from all around not from inside an enclosure?

Well When i got the car from my auto teacher, he gave it to me as is, which didn't have a stock filter and box and that, but I do have a cold air intake laying around my garage so I decided to take that, Not in attempt to get more power, I just grabbed it from my garage because it was tehre and I needed something more or less along those lines of a filter and stuff like that. I know trying to get power out of a d15 isn't a good idea but this is just to get me from school to home, so Meh.

Sorry, New question, If I found a set of integra seats with the rails. and Mounts, COuld I just take my stock DX rails and stuff out and just put these ones in? Without drilling or welding?
