internet connection problem

i'm having strange internet connection problem
this is happening on both wired/wireless
computer connected to wireless router
it connects fine wire/wireless but when I open IE7/FF, i get nothing
for some reason, i can ping google.com but nothing else....
I can go into safemode and internet works fine
I disabled all service/programs at boot to match safemode but still no internet in normal mode
any other computer connected to same router works fine
checked virus, nothing
any idea?

nvm
turns out to be a virus, virus called norton internet security
i disabled it on services and startup yet it still blocked connection
uninstalled it and problem solved
can't belieave they haven't figure out to get rid of this virus when they been around for so long and still manages to find its way into retail big box computers....
