Hi there,
welcome to RFD! I'm curious to find out which area of Ontario is YYZ? =) I see the three letter indicator on UPS packages so that caught my eyes ;)

It's the IATA airport code for Toronto Pearson International Airport.

During the time I got my PPL and in the few years after that I was into aviation/flying, there were plenty of girls doing flight training/flying. Maybe not so much as 50/50, probably more like 20/80 girls to guys, maybe 30/70, but they were still there.
Now if you mean big airline pilots, no there probably aren't a whole lot of them because most of those pilots are older and historically it was a male-dominated profession.
Still when I flew as a passenger recently on an inter-Ontario flight on Jazz there were some young pilots/right seaters buzzing around, and there were a few females I saw. So I'm sure in some years time you'll start seeing more and more female pilots flying the airliners.

are you a female pilot? :o pics? ;)
Why does everyone assume she's a pilot? She's clearly in the aviation industry, but don't automatically assume she's a pilot. My bet is flight attendant and surfs RFD on her layovers across Canada while she waits for her next flight from her boring hotel room. Great way to kill time

hey girl
wanna take a ride on my plane?
Based on the fact that she's out of YYZ, I doubt your Ultralight will be up for the task

Hey, whether it's a Cessna or a 747, he'll be able to take her there... it'll just take much longer for her to arrive riding the Cessna.

There's a quite a few female pilots/co-pilots. I see a lot of female pilots for the Embraers and CRJ on Air Canada. Also, a lot of female co-pilots for the 320s.

flygirlYYZ,
Unfortunately this is what happens when you introduce yourself as a female on RFD.
If you think this is bad, wait till you post in the infamous 'Off Topic' section.
Guys will pounce on you like a pack of hungry wolves.

Here's my new welcome for flygirlYYZ:
Hi flygirlYYZ, glad you finally took the time to sign-up an account on the forums! Are you a pilot, or work for the airline industry? (I got that assumption from your name)
