$350? Sorry, not hot. Ultimate Steal for $64 = hot.

If you really need Office and dont qualify for Ultimate Steal, way cheaper to just get an OEM version.

Prince Edward County…
Microsoft Office is cold at any price.

To open, create and edit docs in compatible software try http://www.openoffice.org/

Price= free. That's hot. And nothing to Bill Gates Bloatcorp.

Plus you can create PDF's. (or can you now, with MS? Not sure)

Office 2007 supports saving to PDF by installing a plug-in (automatically done the first time you do it).
At least, I know Word has it, not sure about Excel and Powerpoint.

Office 2007 is awful software with unfriendly user interface. I would stick with Office 2003 and no price will get me to use Office 2007. By the way, I do have one copy installed for 2 years and only touch it once.

Really? I absolutely love the new interface and would never go back to 2003! It's a lot quicker, snappier, more features and I think with the new SP they have PDF creation built in.

Office 2000 FTW!

Although 2003 is good, anything higher is not really needed for a home user. OpenOffice is pretty good too.

Not to mention that the interface isn't going anywhere.

Office 2010 utilizes similar/enhanced GUI

SP2 adds the native PDF generation (Save as ...) ... No plug-in required anymore ...
