No but you get an 8.5 inch statue and a hardcover artbook as well.

I'm going to go to Rogers right now and see if I can get Riddick + Watchmen + try and trade in GTA 4 or Lost Odyssey for enough credit to get this. What a fantastic deal.

I know that. I meant the 20$ difference between EB and BBV for the same thing. EB has the palazzo map + all the same stuff as the BBV CE. 20$ to have a 8.5 inch is definitely worth it ;)

I dont think it'll cost money, but rather you don't unlock them from the outset and you might have to beat the game first or somethign to unlock the new levels/items.

umm ive been able to trade 2 of the same game in at the same time at BBV... it depends on how much stock they had of the game.. in my case, the store i go to didnt have any GH3 PS3 software so they let me trade in 4 copies.. pretty good as i was paying $5 for the copies and getting $21 credit from BBV for them :)

Had the same problems. They should have the memos for the promo but the stores I went to did not read them. One found it and was able to update their systems right away and I got my preorder. Maybe bringing a printout of the Blockbuster site would help.

yes, they should have a binder for new promos including details, just like their past T4GIF promos

problem is, just like EBG, BBV CSRs aren't usually the ones to read them, so you just have to ask for an MOD and hopefully they're aware of it

Where were you trying in the Toronto area? I did my preorder at the Meadowvale Town Centre location with no problem at all. CSR looked it up on the computer and it was the first thing she saw. I don't even think she saw a regular edition, just the Limited Edition.

Keep checking back or best bet, print out the ad on their site, it should work.

I think BBV csr are quite slow in catching up with this particular promo. I went to one one finch & Vic park and they have no idea what this promo is all about....even looked through the binder and left a msg @ head office and still have no clue.

Ended up going to one at Lauraleaf (Steeles between Leslie & Bayview)....the guy there actually looked up the internet and found out about the deal as I stayed on the phone. When I went there yesterday, the MOD had to manually change the price for it to be in effect so I would assume it's all smooth sailing from here onward for whoever doing the promo after me.

If you're not having luck with other BBVs with this promo and you're in GTA....try the one @ Lauraleaf as I'm sure the CSR should know how to do this by now.

Given how badly this is communicated, for those who pre-ordered I would recommend to everyone to print out a copy of the ad, keep it and bring it with you on release day.

My receipt only says how much deposit I put down and not the remainder of the balance. Who knows what will happen on release day the CSR might charge my full price because he/she didn't know about this promotion.

Same experience. They weren't aware of the deal and had no way to check - my damn printer was offline so I couldn't bring the printout with me. The guy was really cool though, allowed me to put $10 towards it and said "we'll work it out later, not to worry".

Wow, it sucks that BBV is so clueless about the promo. As for my experience, I spoke to the manager on duty. I showed them the ad on their website. They were able to find the memo and had to manually change the price in their system. The memo states the exact same thing as the website, anyone who preorders from 12th-25th will receive $20 off. I payed off the whole thing upfront as well. Good luck everyone.

I tried the Rathburn/Tomken location in Mississauga and their list also stated $89.99 but the girl there said someone else had gone in, they checked the ad and processed the preorder at $89.99 but made a not in the account that the promo/ad said $69.99 so she didn't think there would be a problem with them honouring that price. I would print out a copy of the online ad just in case and take it along when picking up the game, just in case the person working that day is clueless.

I wrote an email to BBV customer service to complain about how clueless the staff was to the promo. I got a response back saying that the field representative will be calling me within 2-4 business days. Hopefully they will call me before this promo ends!

Hmm..I had a good experience with this.

I went into the Kerrisdale BBV on the 14th, there was just 1 guy working there. I told him I wanted to pre-order Assassin's Creed 2 Limited Edition, and he asked me what system. I said PS3, so he typed it up on his computer, and bam, it pops up as 69.99. He asked if I wanted to pay 5$ deposit or the whole thing, I said just 5$. So he types up some stuff, its $5.60 total (including tax), so I pay him the money, and then he tells me that they'll call me a week before the game's release date, and will call me again when they receive their shipment. He said I then pay 65+tax for the remaining stuff.

But, just to be safe, I saved the .jpg of the ad on BBV.

there should still be plenty of it at HMV. it's like people don't go there for games. some of the games might be more expensive but AC2 LE and MW2 Hardened is cheaper than everywhere else

No, there was no trade in. I had complained to Blockbuster head office about the promotion and how the stores and staff had no clue about it. The District Manager emailed me and told me that he put a $10 deposit down for me on it and told me to contact the store Manager when it was in. I figured I would get it for $59.99 so I went today to pick it up and it came to 59 something with tax. The price before tax was $52.99. I noticed that someone else got it for $59.99 due to the price change of the regular version. I probably should have gotten it for $49.99 ($59.99 - $10 (district manger put down)) but I am not going to complain about what I paid for it.

What stores had it for 59.99? MY store had it for 69.99 supposedly and they were saying that they did not hear about it being 59.99 since their regular version is 69.99. If we can know the stores with cheaper price a call to management might help.

I wouldn't pay full price for the collector edition. The art book is not that great. The figurine is good if you like that stuff. The 2 maps are nice but EB was giving one of them away with the regular edition. I have not looked at the addon content on the 2nd DVD yet.
