I'm glad I waited to buy this set. That price is much more reasonable.

I got taken to the bank by Shout Factory over the Transformers Box Set, ended up paying $60 more than what it will sell for here in Canada, bastards said it would never hit retail. Argh !

I'm hearing rumblings that this set and the Transformers set will be priced around $99 in Ontario Costco's as well...with each store getting 30 units of each.

Things just skip along like people are running super fast and skip some steps and end up where they are much faster than normally possible.

The Transformers set was actually released on Tuesday at most Costco's, Best Buy's etc etc from my understanding for $96.99 @ Costco

GI Joe comes out next month...and hopefully for the same price :D

Calling this set "complete" is a bit of a misnomer.

This set is for the original (Sunbow) G.I. Joe: Real American Hero cartoon series. The one that aired before the animated film. The second series (from DiC) shares the same title and contunuity.. but has crappier animation and character designs. The latter one has Cobra Commander with that wacko helmet with eye holes and the snorkel down the side.... along with Destro in a gold helmet. Even if you disown the DiC series, it's still missing the Sunbow animated film anyway...


Red lasers vs. blue lasers is awesome...


The older, Sunbow series had the Joes with the blue lasers and Cobra with red. They swapped those colours around in the DiC series. That confused the hell out of me as a kid. It'd be the equivalent of the Ninja Turtles swapping badanna colours for no good reason.

I called two Costco's they checked their system and don't have it.

I called HMV they have it $119.99, Future Shop is $125.99, Best Buy is $114.99 and Walmart is...$148.99 ?! LOL Price gap much ???

Looks like Best Buy is the winner !!!
