To make it easier for everybody when you request a deal if you could please note the following that'd be great:

What is it?
Where you want to buy (online, retail store)?
Location? (for retail purchases)
Regular price? (approx., give us a number to aim for)

That's basically it... have fun and request something!

Hi Folks

I'm looking to buy Hauppauge's PCI version of WinTV-PVR (Model 880), http://www.hauppauge.com/html/wintvpvr_datasheet.htm
It can be purchased directly from Hauppauge for $249 US.

Anyone know any e-/retailers in the Toronto area that carry this product?  I've checked Future Shop online and their retail stores but they only carry the WinTV USB/Go FM/Go FM External models. Staples.ca doesn't appear to carry any of Hauppage's products.

I've been able to find only one Canadian listed price of $405 online:
http://www.computerconcepts.ca/shop/HAUPPAUGE.html

Can you help me find a better price?

Anyone know of any competing products in the same price range? If so, which would you recommend and why?

Thanks all for your help. :)

You'll probably get more responses from a separate thread but you can post in this thread if you like...

Hi,

I am looking for a home theater speaker system. Something I spec'e out is
Paradigm Atoms Front/Rear or Paradigm Titan Front, Atoms Rear
Paradigm CC170 Center and PDR -10 Sub . A comparable system eg PSB Alpha B C and S + the Subsonic Sub would also do.
I am open to where I buy it from.

I would like to buy it for under $1000 if possible. Also if any of you have any other suggestions let me know.

Thanks.

P.S : Derek do you think I should start a separate thread for this as I haven't seen any threads for something like this

Derek

Yeah, I would suggest you start a separate thread in the request-a-deal forum. More people will read it and it'll make it easier for you to find a deal.

Derek,

It would be nice if we could have a section for transaction feedback about each seller and buyer like on ebay.

Do you mean for each personal buyers and sellers or for online retailers?

Both would be nice. *We could have sections to post our experiences from online retailers as well as individuals we deal with in these forums (buyers and sellers). :)

You can rate retailers at our sister site:

ShopDigital.ca (http://www.shopdigital.ca)

If you want to rate people you've traded with the system people usually use is Heatware at:

Heatware (http://heatware.elitehardware.com)

Other forums (HT and DVD Talk) each have a Good Traders List thread regarding DVD trades....this could be expanded to almost any transaction. This makes it more related to RFD IMO....thus more relevant in my view.

I have emailed Heat to see if they would be nice enough to add RedFlagDeals as an official trades forum on their database, thus making it more relevant to our board here.

Will you be able to make the newest one or two posts as sticky in hotdeals forum which will get updated automatically. That way request a deal forum will get more attention.

Hi all.

I'm looking to buy a pair of Vans. I'm wondering if there's any place that has them for a good price. Either online or in store. Preferably in store since I have to ship them if I buy online. I'm in Toronto.

Thanks for your help/any suggestions.
