Not sure if this has been posted, but seems like a good deal. Offer valid through 11/07/09.

Wow, looks like a great deal. I'm really looking forward to some Mario Co-op. The only problem is finding games that qualify. The floor has fallen out on turd values lately.

I just saw this in EB's new flyer and was trying to decide if I was going to go for this or not. With all the TIVs dropping its getting hard to find $10 games that qualify (RIP Tenchu:cry:) so I may want to use my >$8 games for more expensive POs.
Does anyone know how much EB has the New Super Mario Bros listed for?

I'm guessing it's $59.99 (each game bumped to $25). Hopefully it drops to $49.99 when the game comes out.

This is probably the only game I have left to get this year. I can wait for a price drop on MW2 and L4D2, but Nintendo first-party titles will rarely drop.

Yea, it is listed as $59.99.

Not sure abut EB but Amazon lists it at $59.99. Same with FutureShop. If you can find games at say Rogers (and their B1G1F under $19.99) deal then it might be a decent deal. But is it like the Wii fit where the traded in games have to be for the Wii?

Nope, it says on the flyer that it is valid on ps3, 360, wii, ds and psp games, as long as it is $8> tiv. Also says it must include boxes and instruction manuals, but ppl here seems to be getting away without having it included.

As much as I hate Nintendo right now, my Wii, and supporting things that I don't like, I think that I will still be getting this.

I saw it in their booklet a couple of days ago, just assumed that someone posted it.

hot deal if you want the game and don't have the amount of money, like me. man, I hope the values go UP! The games that I have are only 0.25$ away to be eligible for the deal...

Went by yesterday and the CSR had no knowledge of the deal even after going through the computer and the promo emails (it was on the Trade-3 list though). Hopefully the TIV's don't drop too much further within the next month or so.

Waiting for the strong loonie to see sales for $49.99. I think that I got SSBB for that.

So you're not getting Super Mario Galaxy 2? Metroid: Other M?

I think that these 3 are the only games I'm going to get until 2010.

I said this year: Galaxy 2 and Metroid are out next year. :)

Yeah I hope it drops to $49.99: I paid that much for Mario Kart and Brawl.

Just called Southgate EB and they are only aware of T3G1F... hope this deal unfolds with time and TIV's hang in tight.

It was on a flyer booklet they gave me when I got Uncharted 2.

Thanks Domo325 I guess west coast EB's are a bit slow. Some don't read their e-mails and others just haven't received the pamphlets in time :/

I bit on this deal today. Traded Trauma Center: 2nd Opinion and Simcity Creator and used the $10 gift card from UC2. So I will be getting Super Mario Bros Wii for only $20. Not a bad deal.

seeing how many TIVs have been dipping below the $8 TIV borderline for the past couple wks, i wouldn't have too high hopes seeing that happen....

I went through with this deal today, and the CSR wasn't aware with this deal either. Had to show her the flyer, and she was surprised with the deal.

BTW, why do wii games release on sundays, while ps3/360 games release on tuesdays? Does EB receive the shipment on these games on fridays, and keep the games til sunday?

actually, there have been some games that have came out on Thurs./Fri.'s, just that the norm seems to be Tues. for most new releases

as for when EBG gets a shipment, that's irrelevant to when they're allowed to release it for sale to the general public instore

It's just that Nintendo releases first party games on Sunday (Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, even the Wii was delievered on a Sunday) dunno why, they just do; probably just a marketing thing.

Went to Yorkdale on Friday, CSR had no idea what I was talking about. However, he did mention to me that "if I pre-order the game, I can have a week to try it out from the day I pick it up. If I don't like it, I can bring it back, and get full value for it as a trade-in"

I then said, "so it's a gaming guarantee?" and he had a blank look on his face and repeated what he just said.

So I'm not sure if anyone else has heard this, but it seems it may be a GG. Did anyone else get this flyer/pamphlet? I'm not sure if I want to do this, or T3G1...

Traded in 2 for New Super Mario, and paid the $9.99 by credit.

Just a note, I was told that head office told the employees not to honour this deal, saying it was a mistake...they did it anyways, but if you are planning on doing this, do it quick before the retraction comes.

I'd rather try it as a GG. Maybe buy it later for $39.99.

Damn right, same here. I'm hoping it's gonna kick in any day now. I first noticed it in a BB flyer around November 07, advertising Galaxy for 50$, So there's no excuse not to do it again now.

They couldn't wait to hike prices back up, yet they take forever dropping them. >:-(

If you're in GVR, just goto metro, they know about this promo. I updated a list of games that work @ EB in the TIV thread as of today so you could use some of those last few RP titles to do the T2G1F. I did not even go into burnaby RP's so there could be something there (i never have luck there so im not even gonna bother stopping by anymore!).

I just got the game today delivered from Dell! It's not even released yet. Dell has cheaper price, too ($53). Free delivery using Purolator express, got it in 2 days. Dell has outdone itself!

Before I tried EB game with 2 game trade-in offer, the guy didn't know about this offer then, so he didn't let me do it. And when he did know about it, the TIV has dropped way down forcing me to give up more valuable games. I said screw it, and ordered with Dell for $53.99.

Extreme fast delivery! It takes -4 days!

Here you go my friend. A guy ordered it today after hearing about it from me, and it's shipped right away. I suggest ordering it with Dell, it's cheaper and with free shipping unless you caught the $10 off deal with FS. Not sure if FS is shipping them yet though.
