Cheap basic digital for selling on eBay?

I don't yet have a digital camera, as I've never had an interest in photography - so I'm really a noob!

Now I want to sell some things on eBay, and want to buy the cheapest camera that will show things clearly from a short distance (no long range required). Can someone recommend something for me please?
