View Full Version : PPV blu-rays versus the ones you buy in stores

Maybe I'm asking something that's common knowledge to collectors, but are the previously viewed blu-rays you buy from Rogers and BBV different from the ones you buy in stores?

The reason I ask is, I bought a PV X-Men Origins Wolverine on blu-ray at Rogers and noticed it said "Rental Exclusive" on the cover. What is the rental exclusive anyways? If anything, the blu-ray is sadly lacking - the thing only had 1 disc, and there are no supplemental materials. It's just the movie, plus 2 trailers. Isn't there supposed to be a bunch of bonus materials, like commentaries and behind-the-scenes featurettes?

If buying PPV blu-rays means not getting bonus discs and missing out on the supplemental materials, then it hardly seems worth it.

Anyone shed any light on this?

yes you dont get the extra discs with rental copies...but not all movies have them anyways...

yea, that about sums it up.

i basically dont buy stuff that come with extra copies from there unless im interested in the movie alone.
