I just ordered for the first time from SIG Electronics (thanks to the good folkes at RFD) 4 Jawbone Prime BT headsets. The items are on backorder. Anyone care to share experience when dealing with SIG in general and what your experience has been like with backorder items.
I'm hoping that I didn't goof on this order.

Since you're in the GTA, perhaps give them a call and ask? Or email them. Everytime I have an order and after 3-4 days and no response, I send an email asking for the status and most have been good to give me a reply within the day.

I did call them b4 ordering. However, I was looking to hear some feedback from past experiences like my current experience.

I have never had a back ordered item but my experience with SIG has always been great. I usually just order online and do store pickup.

Never had a problem with them.
I have called to see if they have a particular item in stock.
I have showed up several days later and they still have it put aside for me.
In some cases it was not what i was looking for and they never ever gave me attitude for not buying it after they held it for me after 3-4 days.(DVD Burner,Camcorder)
I now choose to buy from them,`cause i like their service,

I can't speak to SIG, but according to the news, many stores were completely cleared out of BT headsets when the new handsfree legislation came into effect in Ontario. As usual, most people waited until the last minute and stores got caught off guard. It is entirely reasonable that this product would be back ordered.

Ordered from them many times, never had a back order and shipping has always been prompt. It would be a good idea to give them a call.

Sure shipping isn't an issue, all presale is good with them.
Try receiving a non working item and getting a solution on the spot!
Bought two Morphie Juice Paks last weekend, and one has a bad cable. Went in to get it replaced and they refused. Hubby sure is regretting not paying by CC....but then again they lure you with the cash discount don't they?
Not impressed and NOT going back!
