Hi Everyone,

I was thinking of buying a 47" or 52" Phillips LCD TV.

I found a few that were 1080 and 120hz.

Any good or bad feedback with these?

Let me know...

Philips is a second tier brand - their TVs sold in North America is made by Funai - which is a major OEM electronics company specializing in making re badged TVs and DVD players that you see for cheap.

It's comparable to Westinghouse, Sanyo and the likes. It's alright if you have modest expectations or if its a 2nd TV. Don't expect the high-end features that you'll get though on top tier brands.

Personally, I'd spend a little bit more and look at Samsung, Toshiba and maybe Sony (if its still in your budget).

I got a westinghouse & its a good tv shows hd rather nicely.

I agree with the post quoted but if your going to look at anything I'd say look at Samsung & LG, my friend just got a 55" LG 240 HZ LCD tv from futureshop for $2200 & the bit of HD I've watched on it its beautiful.
