Hey guys

Okay well i have a couple questions as i have been recently looking forward to buying a 32 inch tv for my bedroom and a Home Theatre system for my parents.

Now starting with the TV.

I gotta say, when it comes to stylishness, its very very important to me(i know its dumb but heh!)

I was looking at the Samsung LN32B550 or 650. Its the most stylish TV i seen out there! Im currently looking on classified(kijiji/craigslist etc) and ebay to find one cheap well because i don tlike paying for stuff at futureshop or best-buy the tax always f me up and its way expansive.

My question was, would you advise those tv and do you know any other TV that has nice stylishness(must look good, a small compact stand, etc, i noticed DELL has nice tvs also).

As for the Home theatre, well again i just want some suggestion of brands or perhaps a pointer toward WHAT i should look for in a home theatre system. again im shopping this online. Its for my parents and their 42 HDTV. Im also getting them a PS3 for christmas(hey 3rd best blu-ray player on cnet :P)) so they can finally enjoy high quality movies. Thanks a bunch!

Hey Smashs. I am only qualified to advice on TVs, as my audio knowledge is pretty newb.

While you can get 42" TVs for cheaper, I highly recommend the Panasonic 42" 1080p Plasma HDTV (TCP42G15) from FS. It's $1299 right now. More expensive than in the US, but I don't think you can get it cheaper in Canada. Just bargain with the sales person - yes it's possible.

It's a plasma unit that looks great in the dark regions, THX, and has 48Hz playback - which is great for 24Hz movies. Playing 24Hz content @ 60Hz is no good, which is what a lot of lower end models will do.

Thanks for answering unfortunately its a 32 inch im looking for as a 42 would be too big, i just stated that the home theatre will be plugged into a 42 incher but im looking for a STYLISH 32 incher for a reasonnable price! Or just point out some models i can look up on internet etc besides the LN32B550 or LN32B650 from Samsung!
