I was looking around for a new set of bluetooth headphones when I came across a deal I thought was pretty sweet - the Motorola S9 for $49.99 on TigerDirect. I noticed the same headphones on FutureShop for $129.99, so I decided to go in and see if I could price match them. I went in, no problems, price matched at the cashier ($41.97+tax=$47.43). Later that night, I noticed that the headphones I got from FutureShop were the Motorola S9-HD. I didn't notice, neither did the cashier. If you're looking for a great pair of bluetooth headphones for a great price might as well give it a shot.

The headphones also work as a headset for making phone calls and voice commands. It's truly a high quality mic - tested a few calls with no problems. I'm using it with my iPhone 3GS - apparently the seek buttons on the headset don't work with iPod/iPhone, although I can't be 100% sure.

Hope this works for you, I understand it's a huge YMMV based on the person you get.

Worst post ever. They overinflate all their prices and rip off all their customers who aren't tech savvy but I guess that's okay. *sigh*

thanks OP, I'm gonna try the PM. I have much luck with YMMV PMs usually. :)

great you got lucky, only problem is never use this set or the s9-hd at the gym. In time and they will crap out from sweat contact, first the button controls go or freeze, once this happens they are toast. If you want to use them at the gym buy the ext warranty but at the price you paid why bother? Google and see user feedback on these my buddy has gone through 3 sets.

If FS droid needs you to show proof of price it is pretty easy for denial...

Sorry, I was debating on posting this - I honestly didn't know what I was doing until the transaction was done. If you'd like to delete the thread, please feel free.

I'm an avid pm'er but you have to admit guys, this is deception no matter how you justify overpriced BB/FS's items. It's a different product. It's akin to someone I know who tries to pm U.S. .com stores or that TRU SD1200 error that people were pm'ing. This kind of activity will just make it harder for the rest of us on legit pm's and even a possible change or discontinuing their pm policies. I'm sorry to be the moral police here but you have to think of the bigger picture of future legit pm's and the fact you are going in with intentional deceit.

OP was oblivious, we are not and I imagine the RFD board has some integrity.

I believe he is making a joking reference to the Christian Bale rant. "OHHH GOOD FOR YOUUUU!"

I've edited the thread title to reflect this 'deal' a bit more clearly.

If they bring it up on the website just say you didn't realize there were different models and be done with it - I made the same mistake and so did the cashier. That is why i indicated this deal is a huge YMMV.

ohh I was getting all pissy with you, I just said odds are slim for others as most stores will confirm with a check to their site and TD, if you can sweettalk the cashier to just doing a quick pm at cash register one may get lucky. I was just saying that these sets are not without fault especially for those who plan to use them in the gym.

For whatever they just crap out and Motorola is aware of the issue

Hmm.. never thought of trying a sync withe the PS3... But it can be finicky to connect Until 3.0 was released the original S9 could not even connect to an Iphone for talk..

Oh and they drain over time as well... If you do not charge them every 2 weeks be prepared to wait for use...

Works with my PS3! Not sure about the PC, but I can only assume it would.
