Hi all,
The search function is currently not available so I hope this is not a repost.
As title stated, here's the link:
http://www.walmart.ca/search/main?tabId=0&cmd=search&command=itemsearch.ServletLogSearchWord&keys=steam%20mop&
And here's the link to the Bissell's Mail-In Rebate form:
http://canada.bissell.com/rebates/BissellSteamHome.aspx?utm_campaign=bissellsteamdot com_home
Also, walmart is selling the CLONE of H2O mop called Steamtek for $59 (was on sale for $49 during the thanksgiving week) but stock will be hard to fine.
Good luck.

I saw these at at least 35% higher price about a mounth ago so the price looks good
I never tested these but If you compare it to a regular swiffer jet or even better a home brand wall mart and you odnt mind cleaning your cloth in the shower between usage it will do exactly the same thing as this
hot or cold water doesnt make a huger idfference in terms of cleaning power on floors, it prbably makes non in 99% of the cases
so me for 14$ I got the mop and 3 recharges cloths which clean very well

The Bissell steam mop is selling for $95 at Sears and the H2O mop is selling for $99 at the As Seen On TV store. So I guess they are decent price unless you want something even cheaper :
MIRA BELLA 850-WATT STEAM MOP for $29.99:
http://www.factorydirect.ca/catalog/product_spec.php?pcode=SM2720
I don't know about the quality but power is only half of the H2O mop.

What? This uses STEAM to clean floors, not hot water? I can't speak for these particular brands myself, but I have a Shark steam mop from CT and it works very well cleaning our ceramic tiles and SEALED hardwood floors. Clean your floor with a Swiffer or "regular" mop, then clean it again with a steam mop, and you'll see how much crud is picked up by the steam mop from your supposedly "clean" floor.

DO NOT BUY THE MIRA BELLA. I bought this from the Shopping Channel, and the damn thing is very flimsy. They handle comes apart when you use it (you will see ALOT of this complaint if you look at internet reviews) which is a real pain.

I was interested to buy the Bissell near thanksgiving but couldn't find it at Quebec. I did some search and find that the Eureka enviro steamer is better.
If somebody find where to buy the Eureka enviro steamer, please post it! I'm really interested to buy it!

Actually, Walmart has the Eureka enviro steamer too and I think its $88-89 last I checked which was 2-3 weeks ago. It may be cheaper now like the Bissell (was $88) and the H2O mop (was $89).

hmmm i would've picked up the H2O mop for 69.99. but i already bought the shark steam mop from canadian tire last week for 49.99. the only thing extra is offered by the H2O mop is the ability to steam your carpet

Anyone know the difference between the H2O mop and the Steamtek? I bought the last Steamtek but haven't opened it yet and am thinking about exchanging since it's only $10 difference now (was $30 difference).
Thanks.

These steam mops work well on ceramic tile but I've been warned away from using them on hardwood, laminate, and vinyl flooring by SEVERAL people in the flooring industry. I use a H2O on all our ceramics and it does work well - but that's all I use them on.

Damn! I'll call all the WM in the province of Qc, I really want it. I don't understand why the Walmart here are just carrying the H2O mop and the steamtek.
Thanks for your response!

hmm makes sense i suppose...cracks in the floor can cause steam to be locked in, and water vapour to be trapped is no good for your floors.

I think high heat from steam is bad for hardwood floor, not just the moisture build up in the gaps.

It's fine as long as your floor is properly sealed and you dont let the mop rest in one spot for too long. (ie: keep it moving, don't lean it against the wall on the wood floor to grab the phone, etc)

I bought the H2O ultra few months back and main advantage is that the steamer detaches and you can clean oven, sinks, vehicle rims etc as well.
I seen it at home outfitters last week for $109 or so and you can use the 20% off coupon that came in the flyer for the purchase.

Did you check the link at the first post and punch in your postal code?
The walmart.ca still shows $78 atm. You can always bring in a printout to show your local wallys.

What do you mean by "properly sealed"?

For $97 why don't you get the wagner steam cleaner from Costco? It's got more attachments and is like a canister vacuum in form. The only thing I see the advantage of these mops are that they are smaller?

I don't know if it's just me, but for our steam mop, I find it's nicer to spritz some kind of cleaner on the floor prior to mopping... seems to make it work a lot better. Anyone else do this, too? I just fine that with the steam alone, it doesn't seem to clean as good as it could.
(Ours is a dirt devil model.)
