my holland lop loves to chew anything like any other rabbit. while we have tons of toys and random objects for her to chew on, she still manages to be interested in any exposed cords/cables. we've tried our best to hide as many as possible but are concerned about the few that can't be hidden.
are there certain home hardware/depot/etc etc cable wraps/tubing that is cheap and can be recommended? last place i checked was walmart and they were charging something like 15$ for 3 feet of cable tubing. bah.

There's all sorts of cable wrap you can buy. HD, Ikea (real cheap tubing) and maybe even Home Hardward have them. I think we've owned 5 rabbits over the years. We adored them. Ours were allowed to roam in the house as well and did chew on cords, carpet...
It's important to get the cables covered not just because it'll chew through them but also to protect it from injury or death. Our last bunny was found with cable wrapped around its neck. My son let him out overnight without returning him to his cage. His body was still warm when I found him in the morning but he was gone. Broke my heart; he was the sweetest.

This worked for me. I removed the baseboards and ran all the electrical cords and cables along the wall then replaced the baseboards. She will still try to nibble at the baseboards once in awhile, and when she does I give her a quick spray with the water bottle and she stops.

thanks. i ended up just going to ikea to get some tubing. it was $6.99 for 15 feet. its an ugly grey colour but oh well. hoping this will curtail further wire chewing attempts!

on the topic of bunnies, does anyone recommend a particular brush that will get all the stray hairs on rabbits?
