I'm Toronian and I'm buying a desktop case from Hamiltonian guy. This is his guide to pay, you guys please help me to identify scam or not, any suggestion to follow this deal. Thanks a lot . Here is his email

.."actually, what i would do is create an 'invoice'

basically i send you a bill, through paypal. that way you have a complete record of your payment to me.

its important to make this point because if you ever do this with anyone else, and you just send them money hoping for your package, theres nothing forcing them to actually send it.

but if you tell me "id like to buy your item. please send me an invoice', then i simply send an invoice to whatever email you use for your Paypal account.

this doesnt automatically take the money out of your account. its just a bill, or 'request for money'. its up to you to decide to pay it.

if you DO pay it, youll have a record of the purchase in case anything goes wrong.

ALSO, i borrowed my buddys camera! so you can see exactly what youre getting into. its taking a while to upload , though. im doing it now but ill have to send you a link after.

oh, one more thing. i wanted to get a better shipping quote. i have no idea what it will cost. none of this might be worth our time if the shipping is like 50 dollars, you know? is there any way i can get your postal code off you so i can get an estimate?"

Why not go pick it up in person? Inspect the picture, if the desktop case looks good, then go down and by it in person paying cash.

Either way, if your spidy senses are going off, it's better to walk away from this sale.

You can figure on Xpresspost shipping costing around $17.

I don't trust PayPal at all. Make sure the invoice he sends you is for the actual item.

Do you know how much of a hassle its going to be if there is a problem with the case? Doesn't matter if it's a scam or not, I personally don't think it's worth it.

Or if anything, pick it up in person like lazarus suggested so you know its a real case and not one made of tissue boxes and staples.
