Hi Friends,

Yesterday, i redeemed my sears points worth $40 to purchase an item and got an item of exactly the same price that i was eligible.....
but they charged me tax on the item?i has to pay them tax even though i got the item from my points accumulated....
is it correct?

any thoughts on this????

Yes that is correct. You paid $40 plus tax and then they gave you $40 credit based on your points.

This is correct. Credit from points are treated like cash at pretty much every store.
